I personally am not a huge fan of Skillet, but depending on my mood I like it because it is still spreading the word of God. I was thinking of this song this week because there is a lot of stuff that I need to remember to die to daily. Sometimes we get suffocated by our sinful nature that we need that rebirthing within us. I want to live for love, and the only way to fully act that out is through Jesus Christ.
Music has been an influential part of my life. Specifically the genre of Christian music. In this blog I will provide different Christian songs from different artists. There's so much more to Christian music than just hymns! So together we will discover different styles and find encouragement and strength in the music.

Rebirthing
The band I chose for this week has a different feel to it than the past posts. Skillet is a Christian heavy metal rock band, and the song for the week is Rebirthing. Skillet is a unique band because they have a female drummer and guitar player. This group of 4 appeals to many teenagers because they don't fit the stereotypical Christian music group. However, they offer messages of hope in their music. So you can receive Jesus in the moshpit! What could be better? :)
